1 Line IT Support Technician
The position available is for a 1st line support engineer within a growing Managed IT Solutions Provider supporting a broad range of services. Successful candidates will have scope of advancement across a diverse range of fields within IT systems administration, for an enthusiast this is an exciting role divided between remote telephone support and on-site maintenance. Daily tasks will involve assisting and learning from the senior engineers in maintaining virtual and physical servers, answering calls, providing 1st line technical application support to end users, on- site installation, maintenance, basic fault finding and resolution.
Candidates must have a full clean driving licence and be over 25 years of age, be of smart appearance and physically fit as some lifting may be required, clothing will be provided. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in all aspects of IT and a good understanding of MS Windows desktop and a basic understanding of networking. The successful candidate will need to be a fast learner, organised and creative.
Experience in this or a similar role preferred. Experience with routing, Unix, PowerShell, Windows server, Hyper-V, VMware, virtual box, Xen, MS Exchange, and SQL advantageous but not required. Salary dependant on age and experience. Up to £17 to £20k
